These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience while using our services. We encourage you to review this page periodically, as we may update the terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
Our Terms & Conditions
Teva Wheels Limited (The Company) organizes adventure tours, selfdrive expeditions, and guided road trips across Africa, including Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa.
Please read these terms carefully, as they outline our commitments and your obligations when booking with us.
“We” / “Us” refers to Teva Wheels Ltd.
“You” refers to all persons named on the booking, including anyone added or substituted later.
Terms may be updated periodically, and the version in effect at the time of booking applies.
Note: Service standards (e.g., roads, medical facilities, safety measures) in Africa may differ from those in your home country. Local laws apply to all services provided during your trip.
All descriptions, opinions, and information provided regarding national parks, wildlife sightings, accommodations, itineraries, permits, and security are given in good faith based on the latest available data. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot be held liable for errors or omissions beyond our control.
Unless specified, we reserve or recommend wellpriced, quality lodgings with private bathrooms, hot water, and good service.
Prices are based on double/twin occupancy.
We reserve the right to substitute with equivalent or superior accommodations.
Single travelers may request shared lodging; if unavailable, a single supplement fee applies.
We reserve the right to cancel confirmed bookings but will avoid doing so within 45 days of departure unless due to unforeseeable circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics—see COVID19 Policy).
If we cancel:
You may choose an alternative trip of similar value (price differences will be adjusted).
Or receive a full refund (excluding nonrefundable permits, unless reimbursed by authorities).
No liability for additional expenses incurred due to cancellation.
We may also terminate your trip if you or a member of your party behaves dangerously, disruptively, or illegally—with no refunds or compensation.
CANCELLATION BY YOU
Cancellations must be submitted in writing and take effect upon receipt. Fees apply as follows:

Fees are based on the date written notice is received.
Report issues immediately to our representative and the service provider.
Submit a written complaint within 20 days of trip completion for investigation.
Late complaints may not be considered.
We are not liable for failures caused by unforeseeable events, including:
War, riots, terrorism, border closures, government actions.
Natural disasters, epidemics, quarantines.
Transport delays, accidents, or supplier errors beyond our control.
We reserve the right to alter itineraries, withdraw tours, or pass on costs due to such events.
ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES & RISKS
Optional activities (e.g., gorilla tracking, whitewater rafting, mountain climbing) carry inherent risks. Participation is at your own risk—we are not liable for accidents or injuries.
PERMITS (e.g., Gorilla/Chimpanzee Tracking)
Permits are secured only after full payment.
Sightings are not guaranteed (98% success rate).
No refunds if access is denied due to park closures, wildlife movements, or security issues (unless authorities issue a refund).
INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
We recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering:
Medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellations.
Loss/theft of belongings.
Highrisk activities (e.g., trekking, rafting).
Teva Wheels provides:
Emergency medical evacuation via AMREF.
Public liability coverage up to USD 1,000,000 (via SATIB/SANLAM Insurance).
Teva Wheels operates under Ugandan law.
We ensure services meet reasonable standards as described.
Maximum liability for complaints (excluding injury/illness) is limited to the trip cost paid.
Luggage/personal item losses are covered up to $30 (assuming you have independent insurance).
Not liable for wildliferelated incidents—proper precautions are your responsibility.
Good health is essential for active tours.
Disclose preexisting conditions in writing.
No liability for unmet dietary/medical needs if not notified in advance.
30% deposit required at booking (includes permit fees).
Balance due before departure (may be requested 30 days prior).
Booking confirms acceptance of these terms.
We may use trip photos for promotional purposes. Opt out by notifying your guide or emailing us.
Included:
Airport transfers, accommodations, meals as stated.
Englishspeaking guide, 4×4 vehicle, park fees, permits.
Daily 1.5L water per person.
Excluded:
Visas, tips, personal expenses, drinks, airport taxes.
Itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
Window seats guaranteed.
Vehicles are maintained, but delays/breakdowns may occur.
Report guide misconduct immediately.
By paying a deposit, you certify that you:
Have read and agree to these terms.
Accept cancellation policies and liability limitations.
Authorize Teva Wheels to act on your behalf in emergencies.
